Lift simulator server

This feature allows pedestrian modelling software to apply Elevate's simulation of elevator systems.

To use this feature:

  • Make a directory C:\Users\Public\Public Elevate
  • Copy C:\Program Files (x86)\Elevate 8\ExternalHallCalls.txt to C:\Users\Public\Public Elevate. This file will be used to record the calls sent to Elevate.
  • In Analysis Data set the Number of simulations to run for each configuration to 1.
  • In Elevator Data set the Number of Elevators to Specified.
  • In Passenger Data set the Passenger Data Mode to File and select C:\Users\Public\Public Elevate\ExternalHallCalls.txt.
  • On the Tools menu, select Lift Simulation Server.
  • Select Analysis, Run or press the play button on the toolbar.

The pedestrian modelling software may then initiate calls which will be answered by the Elevate elevator group.

If you are a developer who would like to integrate your pedestrian modelling software with Elevate, please contact support@peters-research.com for access to the demonstration project showing how to control Elevate.

The install provided will create a folder ElevateLiftSimulator in My Documents. Build and run LiftSimulatorClient.exe to try the interface. See LiftSimulatorClient.chm for documentation.
