Elevate generates an example morning uppeak traffic profile based on traffic surveys undertaken by Peters Research Ltd.
This template is discussed in CIBSE Guide D 2010 Section 4. The template is based on the requirements of an office building, with twelve 5-minute periods where the passenger demand rises to a peak of 13% with a traffic mix of 45% incoming, 45% outgoing and 10% interfloor. This is shown in Guide D 2010 Figure 4.13 as follows:
The simulation runs between 12:15 hrs and 13:15 hrs.
