Elevate generates an example morning uppeak traffic profile based on traffic surveys undertaken by Peters Research Ltd.
This template is discussed in CIBSE Guide D 2020 Section 4. The template is based on the requirements of an office building, with twelve 5-minute periods where the passenger demand rises to a peak of 12% with a traffic mix of 85% incoming, 10% outgoing and 5% interfloor. This is shown in Guide D Figure 4.8 as follows:
Elevate applies this template; running the simulation between 08:30 hrs and 09:30 hrs.
